Mamaku School Horse Trek Fundraiser 2021

Location: 1286 State Highway 5, Rotorua (Fonterra No. 78505) (Waikato / North Island
6th of March 2021


Come help our school by enjoying a day of trekking at your own leisure

through 10km+ of farm land and bush with gorgeous lake views
Children are more than welcome to join the trek as long as they are
accompanied by an experienced rider.
Sausage Sizzle and Drink Provided at the end of the ride.
Please bring gear for all conditions. Last ride out 1pm.
NO DOGS.

Trekking Weekend at Stone Hill

Location: Stone Hill Farm, 76 Townsend Rd, Parawera (20 min from Te Awamutu / Waikato / North Island

Save the date for our next 2-day Trekking Weekend
on our stunning Stone Hill Farm. Enjoy a fun ride over beautiful
rolling country side, ride along spring feed creeks and guaranteed
breath-taking hill-top views.

Our Program
Saturday: Ride out

at 9am, the trek takes approx. 5 hours incl. stopping for a lunch break
(BYO lunch & refreshments). At the end of the day we will also
provide a BBQ incl. home-made salads.

Sunday:
Ride out at 9am, the trek takes approx. 2.5-3hrs hours, we will also ride over our neighbors farmland.

Overnight staying included, you are more than welcome to arrive
already on Friday. Bring your tent / float for overnight staying.
Toilets, hot & cold water, Kitchen facilities, coffee & tea,
(hot) shower facilities and limited refrigeration space. You can also
swim in our creek close to the parking area.

We are having limited rooms for rent available. First come first serve (https://www.stonehill.nz/page/farmstay/).

Self Catering – Bring your own food and drinks for the whole weekend, except Saturday night, BBQ is included.

Paddocks available for the horses, no tapes allowed. We have limited
Yards for your horses available ($10 per horse / per night). Trek is
suitable for barefoot horses.

Price:
Saturday: $80 incl. BBQ
Sunday: $40
Both days: $120

Note: We don't accept payment on the days, to secure
your place payment has to be made beforehand. We will send the payment
instructions after we have received your registration.

Do you love exploring? Have you dreamt about discovering New Zealand? Well, look no further than this unique way to experience our country.

If you love horse riding, mountain biking or walking/hiking then this annual, week-long adventure is for you - while also helping us to raise funds for the First Response and Rescue Services in the community.

We traverse a clearly marked route for 6 days, with a rest and relaxation day in the middle. Most days, the distance from camp to camp is between 25 and 35km, trekking through places that many travellers generally do not have access to - so expect some amazing, untouched and unique perspectives of New Zealand’s stunning landscapes and scenery.
